Consta de 104 casas individuales construidas entre 1928 y 1933, además de 9 bloques de viviendas colectivas diseñadas en tiras, alrededor de las cuales existen amplios jardines. Son en total 72 departamentos inaugurados el 8 de febrero de 1934 y fue construido por una firma alemana, que se inspiró en un barrio suizo. Las casas y la trama intrincada de sus calles, son un símil de los estilos pintoresquistas.<br></span></div><div style="line-height: 1.2;"><span style="font-size: 14px; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Ultimo lugar porteño que habitó el creador de los Cronopios y las Famas. Nada parece haber cambiado demasiado desde entonces: nueve edificios de tres pisos dentro de un parque conviven con casas bajas, adornadas con detalles en vitró. Los gatos, a los que Julio llamaba "los guardianes de la vereda", deambulan por las calles desiertas, mientras los gorriones musicalizan la tarde. Todos los vecinos de la zona coinciden en resaltar la tranquilidad del lugar. La misma que inspiró a Cortázar y lo motivó a incursionar en la trompeta. Apenas pasan autos, tampoco se ven comercios.
